2. Website access and server logs

When you request a page, the hosting server necessarily processes technical connection data such as your IP address, the date and time of the request, the requested URL, referrer, browser and operating-system information. This is used to deliver the requested pages, maintain security and investigate technical errors. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in operating a secure and reliable website (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).

The hosting provider receives this connection data to provide the website. Log data is retained only for the period needed to protect service availability, investigate security incidents and resolve technical errors; the applicable period depends on the host’s configured retention and security needs.

3. Cookies and browser storage

The current website does not set analytics, advertising or profiling cookies and does not load analytics or marketing services. It uses browser local storage to remember that you have seen the privacy choice: itgovernance_privacy_choice_v1. This stores only the necessary-only choice and its timestamp. The dismissible availability message may use session storage (availability-toast-dismissed) for the current browsing session.

These entries are used for the site interface and to remember your choice; they are not used to track you. Optional analytics and marketing technologies are not active. You can reopen the choice at any time using “Cookie settings”.

4. Contact forms and inquiries

If you submit a form, we process the information you provide, including your name, work email, optional job title and message, to respond to and manage your inquiry. The form includes an optional confirmation that you have read this notice; that confirmation is not consent and is not the legal basis for processing. We process an inquiry to take steps at your request before entering into a contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR) or, for general inquiries, on the basis of our legitimate interest in responding and maintaining business communications (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).

The website form is handled by our PHP application. It sends a plain-text email to info@it-governance.net and copies it to philipp@businessfragen.com. The web host and its mail transport may process the message to deliver it. Please do not submit special-category or confidential information through the form.

Form data is kept in the resulting email correspondence for as long as needed to handle the inquiry and any follow-up. If the inquiry leads to a business relationship, statutory retention periods may apply to relevant business records.

5. Recipients and international transfers

Recipients are the personnel of BusinessFragen OG who handle the inquiry, the website-hosting provider, and the hosting provider’s mail-delivery infrastructure. No analytics, advertising or embedded third-party media service is currently active on this website. Service providers may process data in the locations covered by the hosting and email contracts. Any transfer outside the EEA will require an applicable transfer mechanism and safeguards under Chapter V GDPR.

6. Retention

We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purpose for which it was collected and to meet applicable statutory retention obligations. Technical server logs are retained only as long as needed for security and troubleshooting; the maximum period follows the host’s configured security and troubleshooting requirements.

7. Fonts and external services

The current site loads the Inter and Newsreader fonts from files hosted on this website. The font files do not require a connection to Google Fonts. The site’s scripts, styles and imagery are also served locally. Clicking an external link takes you to a third-party website, which has its own privacy terms.

8. Your rights

Depending on the applicable conditions, you may request access, rectification, erasure or restriction of your personal data, object to processing, request data portability, or withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. Withdrawal does not affect processing carried out before withdrawal.
